Divorce never gets better for the children, never unless there is abuse. If there is abuse, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse then get out immediately.

@marcohorowitz8 Ok, first of all, how are you sure the Pope is sexually dysfuntional? I think this is just a really pathetic attempt to be cute. Also, the Pope had never even been accused by anybody of being a pedophile, besides the obvious losers on the internet. And, how do you know Papa Ratzinger is a virgin? The Catholic Church believes in free will. The Pope isn't demanding families be this way, but rather considers that what is known as "traditional family life", to be the will of God.

when the parents divorce, the father goes one way and the mother goes another way, splitting up the family. The child or children are then left unprotected and more apt to child molesters.

@theluellen children abuse is not caused by divorced. Its caused by molesters! If a a mother or father cant properly take care of their child in the first place, its no matter if they are married or divorced. They gonna do same mistakes in any case. Granted, its a bad family model for children. But taking into account other issues, it really appears milder. Besides, its not what you show the child that matters, its what you teach!

complete and utter crap! Divorce does effect children, but not to the presented extent. I would rather trust a psychologist then people who base their life on 3000 year book and believe in magic. Its like saying that gay couples can bring up only gay children. There are normal children with divorced parents and crazy children with married parents. There are many more factors involved. And come on, person who says condoms are evil lectures on how to raise kids?! really?!

children of divorced parents, not withstanding divorce from an abusive relationship are more vunerable to being sexually molested. They are often pushed aside when the mother goes on to her new relationship. Many times children are abuse by the step parent. Divorce is very bad and then to make it worse, many people go on to divorce again and there is no stability in the family.
