Methadone withdrawal insomnia on average lasts 6 months to 2 years and has been known to last up to 7 years and is suspected of being permanent in some people(those who have been on methadone the longest and at the highest dose). This treatment would have no affect on methadone withdrawal insomnia which results from major disruption of the endocrinal system, not from withdrawal from the drug as such.
