I was 9yrs old when my parents divorced and was soooo glad. My dad was molesting us girls, no innocent child should have to go through that, my mom divorced my dad for something horrible and to protect us. This video is making it seem like every family that stay married will be sooo happy and those who get divorced will be sad. They need to look at the realities of all families.

When my husband had his affair and left my daughter and I. She cried herself to sleep every night for 45 days, I cried too. It has been a year, and I still cry every day. He was unhappy, but happiness come from within ones self. He took it out on us and was selfish. My baby girl was 5, when he left, now 6, we are getting along, but I never wanted a divorce. My parents were married for 54 years, at my dads passing. This is too painful for words, sometimes: Divorce no one wins everyone looses.

I'm 13 and my parents just out of the blue decided they were getting divorced. They haven't talked in a week and my dad moved out. I am crying my eyes out right now

that's sad I was like thrilled when my mom divorced my dad she just got sick of him not being around when I was very young. They got divorced a few months after my sixth birthday so yea. And they was fighting 247. So annoying. But kids should never blame them self for there parents divorce and mistakes.

@CenturyofTerror I know that what you parents did affected you, more then they can imagine. But believe, they were hurt too, more then you can imagine, couple are not ment to be appart. Don't carry on you another mistake, because of their mistake.

i have a 4 daughter who lives with her mom.i get just 1day a week and there days i just cry .theres NOT a day goes by that she's not on my mind

I'm a 12 year old kid and I always thought my family was perfect until my parents decided they were getting divorced yesterday now I can't think straight or anything without the word divorce hitting me I hate my life that's why I'm leaving my family......goodbye

Thank you for this this heart aching and thought provoking video. The Sarah McLachlan music just seemed to capture the forlorn feeling of what I'm sure is at the sole of almost every child of divorce, The information you presented is also quite interesting, but because all children develop at different rate, not all these effects may be seen with in the age limit you gave, My own daughter is a young teenager but tends to suffer more from the symptoms you mentioned in the 8-11 category.
