Well-gerald-your cool because of atheism, but don't kill me by takeing my /mm away!! 1)gerald-your smart- you should first define the terms: definition of addiction: taking more or more often than intended. i take 1 dose every 24 hours. i don't take more than this or more frequenttlly. therefor i am NOT addicted- im DEPENDENT on methadone. 2) if your gonna bash something that saved my life, thats ok.. your just pissed cause you r a recovering heroin addict and don't live near a clinic.-Atheist

@SavageDogg38 Soryy but that is just doctors who have not experienced it trying to explain the shit in science and it is all just a mask like a placebo to convince y'all that their treatment are based on science and therefore work. Just like these anti-depressants that do nothing more than make a man psychotic and have nightmares. Then they are now trying to get people to quit smoking with anti-depressants.. bullshit!

gerald i have been a methadone addict for about 14 years now, last year i came off it for 6 months and went onto subutex anyhows after one month of being back on the meth i was very aware of what you said about it not really taking a hold after 1 month, well just to inform you i was very hooked by that time, obviously im not the best candidate given my previus, just wondered what you thought on that??

@gasmask2012 Well, I'm gonna get some crazy comments for this one but if it were me and the H I'm using is that white shit or the stinky tar, then you might want to use the H for another two weeks and get the methadone out of your system. Next is what's going to seem crazy but just listen. Go back to the methadone and lie to the clinic about wanting a whole therapy etc.then stop the heroin using the methadone you've re-valued for yourself,.use 1 week, it's all up to decisions skill from there

this is capitalism-the longer u h keep patient uncured-the longer they have a job-all is business-why go to clinic-u dependence on them is stressful- its no confidence to deal w life- so how come u took h when u young?relaxing -clinic put fear in u

about compulsions- i m not sure e have a choice-until we get rid of cause-whether getting inner child expressing validating and crying about abuse- or even if some are hypoglycemic-when these these are dealt with- they dont control us-as older person i have more confidence and less nervous in this alienating competitive culture- peer support aa helped me lots-just hearing others stories and not feeling alone in my sufferings -then when tension is out-we can have choice-sleep helps& protein-thks-

too bad very few pple get respect from pple with diplomas on their walls- esp counselors wh are trained to just shut up---and listen to clients needing to express themselves-i agree w you-ans im so sorry this happened to u-thats why i go to aa meetings where everyone is a peer-and the rule is equality-plus good friends i can phone

sick of being on methadone and opiates and try to quit....im on day17 with no methadone after over a year of dosing every day...im trying man im trying...i really am. marijuana hels so much with the symptoms of withdrawals..no sleep ain stomache problems etc...ill tell you one thing tho if i do replapse i am going to the clinic. but IM NOT.

what are you guna do when shes gone? youll have no inner strength or hainess cus you depended on another "being" for it. youd think people would want that inner strength on their own..idk i guess its a matter of opinion...and poepl go to clinics cus they fail to get clean repeadtly..so they get on methadone for ever cus even tho they want to get clean without it they cant...its allmost giving up. but compare it to the side effects of using on the street. but than theres people like me. who get

im starting to think my brain will never recover..and these withdrawals will alst forever...ive heard that in some cases it permanently deprives the brain of dopemine and seritonin ..im not sure how true that is....but im also athiest/agnostic...so i dont have thathigherpower to look to for advice and personal insight.i look INWARD..for strength..and for alot of people thats not enough,,theyneed a god to get them through their problems...its like depending on a girlfriend for your own happiness |
