While 12-step methodology is part of our program (and the most effective part), it is only one small piece. The SouthCoast Method is a three part program blending holistic, medical and spirituality resulting in a very effective treatment program. The first definition of a "cult" still doesn't apply and especially doesn't apply to our program. Thanks for your coment.

Your twelve step "program" is a cult by definition. cult --noun 2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, esp. as manifested by a body of admirers: the physical fitness cult. 4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.
