Deportations Leave Teen Alone (UMTV)
More at http://umc.org/videos/ - The story of a Michigan family puts a human face on the immigration debate. Jasmine Franco is a U.S. citizen. ICE agents deported her parents leaving Jasmine, a high school student, to support herself on a part-time job. The faith community stepped in with food, shelter, and emotional support that helped Jasmine live her American dream and become the first in her family to finish high school and go on to college.

What a touchy. She can go back to her beautiful country/parents. Reunite happily ever after. The problem is we let em dump anchor shit.

She's alone because her parents broke the law. They knew exactly what they were doing, and what could result from their illegal activity. They endanged their family because of their actions. Those that are here legally can pursue any activity that all documented workers can do. Those that are here illegally, should expect nothing but deportation, and suffering at all times. |
