Wow, that's horrible, I would have puked, too. I don't believe courts should force people into AA, either. They should at least offer some secular alternatives.

A few years back I was forced into AA by the court. We had a member get up in the middle of a meeting a go to the bathroom and blew his brains out with a 357 magnum .What a frick'n mess . I puked more then any drunk I was on.Despite my name I'm using (in Y-tube)I'm sober cause I don't want to be forced into that crap again.

You just can't stand that we addicts and alcoholics have had much better success in this area than the so-called experts in the scientific community and the pseudo-sciences like psychology.

You are right about one thing, nobody should be forced to go to AA. As far as your claim that the "vast majority" of people in AA are forced to attend by the courts I'd like to know what proof you have of this. Since about half of all AA membership is in countries that don't order people to attend AA, I find that very hard to believe... more of your anti-AA propaganda because you are obviously trying to make a buck off of addicts and alcoholics.

;)Just wanted folks to know; I started an online voice enabled SOS style meeting. It's a safe, secular place for those looking for sobriety or abstinence support without all of the AA/NA religion and insanity.Free, critical thinking, self-empowerment and secular expression is encouraged and fostered!Email me through youtube for the details if you're interested Be Well:)

Blame the courts Peele! You know the deal. The courts exploit AA. AA groups do not benefit one iota from mandated attendance. In many jusisdictions, government has mandated programs of their own. I call them "how to drink schools". Expensive and worthless, all at the same time. Most AA members would LOVE it if the courts stopped sending druggies, domestic abuse and even DWI. Jail or community service would be better. |
